Are you interested in installing an Induction Loop System but have some questions?
Check out these frequently asked questions to understand how they work and why loops are important.

Experience counts. Loop systems are not a one-size-fits-all solution. Each system is customized to the room in which it is installed. You need a contractor who has the experience to design the correct solution. Hearing Loop Systems is backed by Parkway and our 150-person team of experts in all things electricity, communications, and audio/visual systems.
Loops systems allow people with hearing loss to enjoy audio in the same way as everyone else. No special devices to check out and wear, no headsets, headphones, or unsanitized devices to put in your ear. Loop systems connect directly to any T-coil equipped hearing aids and over-the-counter hearing devices. We dream of a world where people with hearing loss can thrive each day with communication access, full inclusion, and equal participation in all aspects of life, everywhere they go.
In the most basic form, an audio induction loop system consists of a loop of wire around the perimeter of an area that is connected to a special loop amplifier. The wire creates a magnetic field within the perimeter so that the same audio from the room sound system is picked up by a telecoil (T-coil) equipped hearing device. T-coils are found in most hearing aids and all cochlear implants.
Loops can be installed in any location where sound systems are used to communicate information including but not limited to:
+ Transportation paging in airports, railway stations, subways, buses, trains, etc.
+ Theater and Performing Arts facilities
+ High School and College Auditoriums
+ Church Sanctuaries and Worship Centers
+ Board rooms and meeting rooms
+ Banquet Facilities
+ Courtrooms and Government chambers
+ Sports facilities – Gymnasiums, Natatoriums, Stadiums
+ Museum exhibits
+ Point of sale locations, ticket windows, information kiosks, reception desks
We have done installations across the United States, from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Airport to the Breslin Center at MSU to a 100 seat Sanctuary at a local church. No project is too big or too small.
Installation involves laying a series of concealed wires within an area, typically embedded in, on top of, or under the floor. Some installations can utilize the ceiling or a combination of both. A series of tests and engineering calculations are performed to determine the best location for the wires. There are several types of wires and methods available.
The wires are attached to special amplifiers which are connected to the audio source.
Anyone with a telecoil equipped hearing aid, a hearing device, or cochlear implant. According to manufacturers, 81% of hearing aid models either come with t-coils or offer t-coils as an option. Special loop receivers equipped with ear-buds or headphones are typically available for individuals who do not have hearing aids or hearing devices with t-coils.
